Today is Burns Night, it is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the author of many Scots poems.
Burns Night dinners typically include haggis (Burns’ favourite traditional Scottish dish), Scotch whisky and the recitation of Burns's poetry.
Speaking of Scotch whisky, we recommend everyone to try our Deanston (Virgin Oak) and Deanston 12 Years Old Highland Single Malt, both whiskies are non-chill filtered. The palate of the Virgin Oak is delightful sweetness, evoking memories of candied fruits and vanilla toffee, balanced with heather honey. As for the 12 Years Old, it’s palate is smooth creamy sweetness with sumptuous hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness and soft vanilla.
